Hybrid groan when accelerating from dead stop on incline
Hi,
I just bought a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. I'm really loving this car, but I find there's something unsettling when I am stopped on a bit of an incline and then go to accelerate. For maybe a second or two, the car drags and there's a low groaning sound coming from the front. If this was a regular gas engine setup, I might be able to figure out the problem. But, because the IMA is in there, I have no idea what could be causing the issue.
I could really use some guidance on this before I go spend hundreds of dollars getting it diagnosed at Honda.
Thanks!
