Motorcycle battery?
To those of you that relocated your battery to the front frame rail, are you running a motorcycle battery? I buy my batteries from Rural King, a tractor/farm store...cheapest batteries around and I've always had great success with them. If you are running one what are the specs?
I'm sure it's not
Most motorcycle batteries are on their sides. It comes with adapters to mount the lugs if you choose to lay it on it's side
Also these are sealed batteries.
oddysey pc680 is overpriced imo
Overpricing is exactly why I won't buy one lol, ImI not one to buy a battery at AutoZone or the likes, overcharging prices. I'll have to look that battery up, see if I can unlock my wallet for one of those lol

What kills them is if they die a lot( leave lights on).
I daily mine as well, I'm working from home now and so I go as long as 4 days without starting my car and it always starts.
My ground cables are upgraded to 4 gauge and my alternator is new.
Make sure you don;t have one of those underdrive pulley kits.
I also don't have a radio and wipers however

I can get the 16l extra cranking power at my local Rural King (cheapest around me for batteries) for $60 or so, but thats good to know. Im updating my grounds when I switch batteries. Glad to hear its working well for you, I look forward to doing this so my engine bay is a little cleaner!
If you lay yours down like mine; the brass washers go in between the posts and adapters. And I bought my battery bracket on ebay.
Also, just drilled a new hole in the oe tray and trimmed the J hooks a bit.

I found them online, 15.99 for the pair, probably going to order them this weekend and replace the ground cable while Im there, is it necessary to have it ran to the frame then the block? Or can I just run it straight to the block?
lol
yea, idunno you need one from the battery to the tranny and one from the battery to the frame
and one from the frame to the tranny.
You'll see the oem one covers all these in a unique way

I dunno which motorcycle batteries are placed "on its side" but I've owned a CBR, a R1 and a Gsx-R...and all the batteries were in the up-right position. I would go for a dry cell or sealed batter if turning it on its side so that was you KNOW its not leaking.
