hey, ive noticed 5th gen preludes have 2 diffrent body styles. the diffrences are really subtle and its on the front ( i cant tell if the back is any diffrent ). like certain years have prelude writen on the little grill right below the hood and some dont. i was just wondering which years have the prelude written there and which years dont, and if there are any diffrences in body styles through the years of the 5th gen lude. thanks in advance

 

the only differences between them is the 97-99 have the grille with no PRELUDE on it, and 99+ have the honeycomb grille with PRELUDE on it.
And the Type-SH has painted mouldings, and base + SE (In Canada) don't have painted mouldings.

 

99+ have a darker chrome headlight casing too

 

are the hoods any diffrent? cause my friend thinks the hood of the 99+ ludes is diffrent than the 97-98. thanks alot for the info guys

 

The hood latch is different, but the hoods are the same.

 

one last question, i could do a conversion to make the 98 look like a 99+ right?

my girlfriends looking to buy a prelude and she likes the way the 99+'s look. shes looking at a 98 right now, i was just wondering. so if she wanted to we could convert it to look like 99+. thanks for all the info
