So I bought a 2000 Si a few months ago and now that summer is in full swing it's getting pretty hot. The guy before me removed most of the easy to reach ac components in the name of "racecar." I've got a new compressor, condensor, drier, and expansion valve. My biggest problem now is finding all the hoses for this. Looking through parts diagrams it appears that most of the hoses are the same between a 2000 Si and a 2000 EX except for two,80311-S04-G11Hose, Suction (Nichirin) 80315-S01-A11Hose, Discharge (Parker)
My big question here is, whats the difference between these hoses and the ones from an EX? I'm assuming the fittings differ because of the different AC compressors? Does anyone know a place to find these hoses? They're discontinued so it looks like my only hope is used unless someone knows a way to get around this.
I appreciate the help guys, new to the Civic world and so far I love the car.
Those two hoses I believe go to the compressor itself. They will be different. Either order si hoses or get a d series compressor, 97-01 ctv ac mount and d series hoses to mount it all up.
Alright so a CRV ac bracket will allow the SOHC compressor to fit and everything else should fit correctly so long as the AC components are from the same body style as mine right?
Appreciate the help guys, here's a pic of it. 2000 with 155k on it. It's pretty clean for what it is.
Yes use the 97-01 CRV Bracket, d-series compress and the two d-series specified hoses. The hoses can be pulled from the wrecker or if Freedo still has his.
