Default Idle drops

I have a 1999 Honda accord lx vtec v6 when i step on the brake pedal the rpm drop from normal to almost a stall, release brake and rpms start returning to normal. Can this be do to a failing brake power booster?

Default Re: Idle drops

we've heard from someone that says changing the check valve in the brake booster hose fixed an issue like this

i would say try grabbing another from the junkyard for the same car, i believe the check valve is built into the hose on your car

even a new one is only $20 but I would say just pull a junkyard one and see if that fixed it, cheap try at a fix

be sure the hook the hose up in the correct direction

looks like any v6 98-99 accord uses the same hose so those are your vehicles to pull from
