Default Reliability of A/C system in 8th gens?

I see allot of posts about A/C issues. Was the A/C system not very robust in the 8th gen Civics? What are the common issues, compressors, dryers, etc?

Compressor and thermal switch issues seem to be the most common... most common on the "K" series engines. This includes the CR-V, Accord and Element as well as the Civic Si.

I’m on my second 8th gen Si and while I never had a issue with the ac not working they both have mediocre ac systems. While idling on hot days the ac is cool at best, although while driving it seems fine. I always just assumed it wasn’t a great system because the ac in my tsx was great all the time.

is the spacing on the clutch. they used spacers..then they didn't. also the AC goes though ECU now not just a relay.....very bad idea...hence issues.
I have all brand new stuff. even the updated Honda relay(mitsubi) brand.
and it wouldn't shut off.
pull relay..deal with heat.
ughhh.
try again. wasn't full I guess of new Freon.
then kicks on and off and on and off and on and...
:/
pull relay......
....race car...

or wire ac clutch power to a switch off ignition. on when car is running you can give power to AC clutch.
then turn it off whenever you want. bypass ECU control.
ECU should never have anything to do with AC just more to mess up
