Default complete quarter panel removal? confused...

Hello, I have this 94 civic cx and found that the previous owner slopped a good 1in or 1-1/2in of good old bondo, so the quarter panel now has a bunch of cracks and chips making th car look like a mangy dog. I have scored the complete rear left section from a shell for an amazing $40, compared to the wreckers price of 600. Where do I begin cutting or removing spot welds? I have no clue where to start, but I have access to cutting and welding in my weld class but unfortunately no there knows much about body work other than what settings and wire size I should use. The bondo starts from the quarter window down to the wheel well, and from the door hinge to the rear light. I can get pics if that helps. Thank you.
