2008 Civic AC blows cool at night, hot during warm weather
hello,
I changed my AC clutch a year ago, and I still have the AC blowing hot during the hot weather, especially in the sun.
I've done research and saw that maybe it's the AC control unit in the dash gone bad. Any other ideas or is this the culprit?

Let's leave the A/C controls for later as long as your blower fan works and it does cool at some point. We can try to explore some easier issues first.
Why was the clutch changed? Only blowing cool air in the morning, at night, or in the rain is a pretty good sign of a low charge (or overcharge in some cases), bad condenser fan, or dirty/blocked condenser. When was this unit serviced last?
The issue could also be too large of a clutch gap, which can make the compressor disengage as it warms up. Can you observe the outer hub of the compressor still turning when the system is running while blowing hot? If so, does the condenser fan still run?
There could be other things at play here, so please get back to us and we can help narrow it down.

It's been a few years since it's been serviced. I'll take it in soon to be charged. But when I get home I'll check the other would be issues.
