I just got the car and was wondering if a h22a4 head would fit on a h23a1 block. I was told the head gasket went but then i found out otherwise and would really like a positive attitude about it. Either way if not possible i need to find a head with camshaft, valves, and valvesprings on it. Its not vtec but i am tempted to convert it

 

Its probably going to be easier and cheaper to get whole h22 there

 

Yeah I agree, just swap in a JDM H22.

Otherwise you could look at the H22/H23 Frankenstein engine. But it takes a lot of parts and know-how to work properly. That and if the head is warped, I would just assume the entire engine got way too hot and is trash.

 

Real h23 vtec would be also a lot cheaper option

 

Does anyone know where i could possibly find one close to lynchburg roanoke or bedford virginia, i appreciate the ideas that youve given me, just a bit of hassle cause i dont have much to work with.
