Wondering if anyone knows of a place to get the targa top and pillar weatherstripping for a 1995 Del Sol...OTHER than a salvage yard. Looking to purchase new or like new parts and all the dealerships say the parts are discontinued. Hoping someone knows of a place to get these hard to find suckers!

Do you know of an online dealer that has them? All of them I have contacted say they are discontinued and they dont have them available.

 

I feel your pain bro i went through this same process last year and spent over $1000 for all new weather stripping on my del sol. The rear pillar was the hardest to find i was lucky to see it on ebay from an international seller from japan you might wanna go that route

Sorry i was only able to find the front and also the same seller is selling the the 2 side roof weather stripping. It helps if you search for it by part number also

 

there's a bunch, search honda oem parts, done.

 

It's highly likely you won't find OEM even online.

Another alternative I believe, would be to see if your local auto glass repair shop has a source for weather stripping. They have to be able to replace any window weather stripping regardless if it's discontinued by auto manufacturer. As such they should have some alternative sources for new weather stripping for vehicles.

 

same here, i just bought a 96 and it def. needs a upgrade on those parts.

 

Just a quick update, I ended up purchasing the rubber targa top seals via JDM. It was pricey but I got all four seals and it fixed the problem. Maybe this will help someone else down the line.
