D13B2 to D16Z6 swap issues/questions
Hello everyone,
I've been driving my 95 civic eg for a year now and decided to do a swap to a d16z6. Now the engine swap itself was easy as almost everything in honda is plug and play. But my previous engine was a carburator and this one injection so it's been pretty tough.
So I only had the engine loom and no dash loom. So what I did was cut the connector on the passenger side in the engine bay. And on those wires I made new wires which go straight into the ECU, now I'm 90% sure I did that part right.
But the next part is where I'm clueless.
I'm still missing about 10-15 wires on my ECU which I can't find where to place. Example:
on the wiring diagram it says the ECU fuse has to go straight to the main relay but right now that isn't the case. So should I get a engine bay fuse box from a injection car or is it something I could fix myself?
Also since my car was a carburator, do I still have all the things I need in my left kick panel?
last question; Does the ECU need every cable connected to start the engine? Or at least give me a spark? If not, which are the main components the ECU must be connected to.
I'm just stuck since I don't know what to do from here on.
thanks so much in advance if you could help me out!
Cheers, Robin

main components are spark and fuel (main relay) distributor. crank sensor is in the distributor
and the map and tps on the Throttle body.
you could go without water temp and oil pressure(hardwire vtec)

Thanks for the reply.
I don't have a fuel pump relay yet but I'm gonna get it tomorrow. The ignition is connected to the ECU, so I think I got the crank sensor also connected. I also got the MAP and TPS connected. So if I hook up the fuel pump to the main relay and connect those it should run? Or at least give a spark?
Again thank you so much and I'll update when I have the fuel pump connected.
