Hey peeps ive got an idea for a pretty nasty build. I'm looking for some thoughts and input. Ok so I want to make a crx awd but still use a b18c type r tranny. Is it posible to cut the tranny open so I can hook up the transfer case and drive line? With out compromising the structural integrity of the tranny that is. Yes I'm aware of how extensive the idea is. I just need useful input. Thanks guys.

 

Why not just put the gearing and LSD in a manual CR-V transmission? No cutting involved. You just need a press, and a decent knowledge on assembling a manual transmission.

 

I had thought about it but wasn't 100% sure if it would work hence my post. Thank you for your input, it is very much appreciated.
