Default Another secondary o2 sensor motor swap problem...

Let me just say first off that I’ve done a lot of searching online before posting!!! Everywhere...

Ive done a 99/00 jdm b16a swap using an em1 harness and ecu into a 99 dx hatch. As many of you already know there’s no second o2 sensor wiring on the harnes yadda yadda yadda.

I used the ffsquad online OBD2b pin guide to wire my second o2 sensor directly to my ecu, like this:

white wire > a23
green wire > c18
black wire > a8
black wire> b1

it works for a day, then cel comes on for p0141, sensor 2 heater malfunction. I’d like to add that b1 has 12v with key on engine off, like it should. A8 doesn’t have ground with key on, not sure if it should. Tried grounding sensor directly, ecu no likey.

i have SCOURED the internet, found the dozen common big threads on the forums, where most say the ffsquad pinout works but a few have the same symptoms I have, yet I’ve seen no answer yet! Same on YouTube.

For those of you folks with insight: Please Please Please gimme some info! I will literally buy you beer if you’re in Arizona. This is one of the last things on my swap. It’s HOT and I want this to be done with so I can finish my A/C.

oh, and I didn’t have these codes when the motor/ecu were in my em1 (rip)

did it work tho!? I can make it look nice later, once I’m sure the light stays out. What did you do? Also keep in mind the 96-98 civics have different harnesses than 99-00. The problem I’m having, according to the code, is with the heating element.

i pulled both primary and secondary 02 harness completely off of an lx and repinned/connect the wires to an ex harness. the signal wires are shielded. worked

i guess that’s more or less what I’m trying to do. Do you know where on the ecu your secondary sensor’s two black wires are connected/pinned? Or do they ultimately go somewhere else? Thinking about just going to some other power source for the heated element. Anybody out there successfully solve this?

Thanks! I would love to just obd1 this thing but emissions here in Tucson are surprisingly strict. Gotta at least get that cel to stay off before I can do anything else. I appreciate all help.

np, I think the only ones I had to tap were the signal and power wires, the black/white and black were connected directly to where they originally came from on the LX harness.

I thiiiiink it’s solved! I have the power to the heater connected to 12v key on under the dash, rather than the power at pin b1. All other wires hooked up to their respective locations at the ecu. Light hasn’t come on ‘yet’.... I will update whether or not it comes back. Hopefully this helps anyone out there doing this swap... for a short concise answer.

btw thank you Tony!

So,

There's a green/black, white/red, black/yellow, and black/white.

Green/black and black/yellow went to the blue plug under the intake manifold. white/red went inside to the green plug by the ecu. I'll update more as I slowly remove the o2 wiring and repin the original o2 sensor.

~*~*UPDATED 06/12/18*~*~
blackwhite to ecu
black/yellow goes to blue plug under intake manifold
white/red goes to ecu
green/black goes to blue plug under intake manifold
brown/black (this is the shield around the white/red wire) goes to the rectangle brown plug near the ecu plugs.
