1996 honda accord won’t start until D4 light flashes on the dashboard
1996 honda accord won’t start until D4 light flashes on the dashboard would anyone in this forum have any experience with an issue like this and how to resolve it any input would be greatly appreciated.
Normally when the ignition is turned to II(ON) the main relay turns on and the fuel pump primes and the D4 lamp comes on. If the engine is not immediately started, the main relay drops out after a moment which stops the priming and the D4 light turns off. This is normal. If you cannot hear the fuel pump priming and the D4 lamp is not illuminated after the key is turned to II(ON) then there may be a problem with the main relay or the ignition switch. The D4 lamp should not flash or flicker, it comes on for a moment while the pump is priming and you should hear a click from under the dash and the D4 light should turn off and the fuel pump should turn off.
EDIT: The CEL will also illuminate, CEL D4 illuminate and the pump should be priming /EDIT

It was the fuel pump relay that’s located under the driver side dash it’s like a circuit board that a part was burned off you can either replace it totally or you can solder it. I soldered mine and it’s running like magic now.

Pretty common for the Main Relay to have cold solder problems, Was the burned section from the relay chattering or did it appear someone tried to resolder it before?
