i have a 09 pilot that makes a grinding noise while accelerating at about 35 mph for the life of me i cannot find it i have checked the heat shield and its not lose or rubbing on anything im open to ideas if anyone has any

 

where does it appear to be coming from ? have you pulled the serpentine belt and checked all the pullies for roughness ?

 

Grinding or rattling? You mentioned heat shield, which produces rattling noise, so I assume you are referring to rattling.
Heat shields on both pre-cats begin rattling when retaining bolts rust through. You either bend heat shields away from the pre-cats, or take a very large clamp and put it around both heat shields and tighten.

 

thank you for replying yes its hard to describe a noise it does sound a bit like it could be a rattle and i will give the bolts a once over again and see what i can find again i do appreciate the response
