Oil leak from busted breather tube?
Hi everyone,
I recently have a pool of oil underneath my 2000 Honda Accord LX Coupe. I noticed that the breather tube (Part No.: 17138-P0A-000 ) was busted. I also noticed caked up oil around the area although I think it has been there for a long time. My question is, is it possible to have that much oil leak from a busted breather tube and will replacing the tube likely fix the problem?
Thanks,
Will

There shouldn't be any oil in the inlet breather tube if all is running properly.
If you have oil going back through the inlet oil breather tube (17138-P0A-000), that means that you ether have excessive blow by in the crank case. Or your PCV valve (17130-PK1-003) or hose (11856-PAA-A00) are clogged forcing the oil back out your inlet tube.
Hopefully it is the PCV or hose. Those are the easy fix. Excessive blow by is not so easy to fix.
