Default Malfunction Indicator Lamp is ON

I have a 1994 Honda Accord Wagon EX -- this past weekend, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp came on -- I pulled over, turned the car off, then back on again and the light never came on again for the rest of my afternoon of driving.
The following morning, the same thing happened again. I have since found that a person is able to check for sensor codes on their own -- which is cool cause I don't wish to pay over $100 to have a mechanic do it if it's easy enough.

Here's my problem, I'm not sure of the location for point of connection for detecting diagnostic codes.

thank you for reading and for any help anyone may have.

SOLVED: Where is the obd1 connector on a 94 accord? It's - Fixya

You can insert a paper clip into this plug and the number/length of flashes will indicate the code. On OBDII vehicles, the port is behind the ashtray.

It's a little light blue 2-wire plug under the glove box. If it's never been moved then it will be in a little plastic holder next to a 3 wire plug (this is for the hds tool I believe) place a paper clip or other small wire in the 2pin connector. Turn key to position II (run, not start). If there are fault codes each of the big 4 systems will flash. (D4, abs, cel, srs) Pattern is the same for any of them. X number of longs followed by y number of shorts. There are several guides on how to interpret the flashes
