Default Help troubleshooting...need a new clutch?

I have a 1998 Accord 2.3 5 speed. Has 245k miles. I inherited this from the wife a few years ago at 200k miles. She replaced the clutch 10 years ago at around 130k miles, she thinks.

I was driving it to work on Friday, 15 miles into the trip up a steep pass it started revving in all gears. Strong burning smell. I turned around and limped it home. Took a while to get up to 40mph but I was able to drive it. Strong smell lingered in garage for hours.

Friend said could be clutch master cylinder. I've never done transmission work before, so my as well start on this beauty!

I haven't looked at anything yet. I'd appreciate any advice on how to troubleshoot this and any opinions on what I should do and parts need replacing.
