Is it possible to drop a silvia motor sr20det into a s2000?
yeah really, my dad's friend Al knows I am into import cars so he asked me to find engine similar in size to the s2000's motor so I checked around and figured that the silvias motor is about the same size and has a single turbo. This guy is nuts believe me, he turned a "regular" GMC typhoon into a 1200 hp beast using turbos the size of my head!
Yes it is possible ! If you have the money...you can put anything into the S2000.
But it just doesn't make any sense.
Like you said... if he has the money to burn...
why not get a R34 Skyline GTR Vspec2 and mod it !!
or 911 turbo. hehehe

why not just turbo the S2000 motor?? a good sr20det is gonna be like 1700 plus fabrication to make it fit and engine harnes + tranmission work = prolly like 4000 dollars.
just use that money for parts and labor on sleeves, pistons, rods, turbo kit, aem ems or dta or some standalone ecu, feul system. plus revs to 9000 rpm!

the f20c is a much better better moto than the sr20det, sure its not a turbo motor but its more reliable, save your money and get a speedcraft turbo. those can run on the stock engine and make nice power.
can you say downgrade.
If he has money to burn and wants to be different http://www.kingmotorsports.com has a catolog full of nice Mugen parts.

you cant beat a honda for well designed and powerful specific output motors, but they are NOT designed to handle boost without serious modification, let alone the f20c....and personally id like to see an sr-swapped s2k
an oh yea if it did fit in there, which wouldnt surprise me....you would of course have to run some sort of standalone system....cuz obviously it aint gonna wire up
ive seen crazier swaps though (supra motor in M3, f20c in old skool M3, f20c in AE86, etc etc etc)

Wasn't this in a movie once? Don't forget your Motec exhaust...

Yeah pretty much a road reflecter killer. Still though that thing sounds and looks so evil. Kind of like another yellow S2k I've seen.
"400+ WHP is common on bone stock internals on SR20s" Common to who? No one I know who has an sr20 motor would think of running over 340 on stock internals.
The block on the sr20 is designed for boost. But the s2k responds very well to forced induction. For the price of simply buying the sr20 and shoehorning it in you could build an insane s2k.

as for this thread, I'm jumping in before the lock down!
I think it was a Motec system exhuast with spoon engines and t66 ball bearing turbos, not to mention the alteeeezzas that make him go vrrrrrrm PSSSSSSSSSSSSST vrrrrrm PSSSSSSSST like a turbo busa.

400 whp - 25% driveline loss is over 525 at the crank. I really din't think that's smart with a sr20 motor and "stock" block.
But I know very little about anything engine related. I'll go back to my APC catalogs.

Its no news to anyone that some noobs need a little point, this guy is hopless. If CivicUnrest post was a joke, I must say it did make me laugh
. If it wasn't a joke.. I say buy a s20 and put in in a s2k .. dont forget to take picks and post a install guide, I may decided to put that sylvia motor in the type R ..

Come on there is no way that the F20 is a better motor for boost, don't kid yourselfs a motor will that kinda of compression and internals no way!! The sr20 is meant to be boosted, as for the 400 hp on stock internals that is not uncommon! compare the F20C to the SR20VE or something!!
