Default Replacing only lower radiator support

Searched for this, but not really finding the information I want.

I have a 97 EJ Hatch that has some rust on the lower part of the radiator support (The portion that has the radiator and condenser mounts) I didn't notice just how bad the rust was until the bar had bent upwards from using the jack point. The rest of the radiator support is fine, and all body panels line up well enough. I just need this replaced as the radiator mounts are rusting off, and the condenser is contacting the body now.
I'm aware I can't just buy that portion, but since this is my daily and needs to get back on the road quickly, this seems like the easiest way to approach this so I don't have the entire front end off the car.

I have access to all the necessary tools to remove and weld in a new piece, and from what I can see, it's just spot welds holding the bottom portion to the rest of the piece.

Has anyone here just replaced the bottom portion? Any input or experiences welcome.

Thanks!

Just cut the bottom part off and weld a new bottom part you cut off from a new support. most likely the front end will have to be removed.
