Default Civic throwing codes P0523 and P2647

Long story short the girlfriend took her car (07 civic 1.8) to get her oil changed at mr.lube and a few days later it went into limp mode. Now it’s throwing these 2 codes. I called them and they informed me that they used the right oil (5w-20 synthetic) in it but it seems very fishy to me how 2 different sensors would go bad at the same time. The oil is slightly over filled but not enough that it should cause any kind of code to come up. I cleared the codes and they come right back on. Do you think it’s the oil and I should change it ? How can I test the oil pressure switch and the solenoid? I’m tempted to bring it back to them

I suppose it's possible there is too much oil. Drain and fill.

its ok for oil to be overfilled a tad. the motor will expel in 2 different ways. its the pressure that causes an issue.
P2647
Check engine oil level, oil condition and pressure
Faulty Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) / Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Switch
VTEC/Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Switch harness is open or shorted
VTEC/Rocker Arm Oil Pressure Switch circuit poor electrical connection

P0523
Low oil level or motor mechanical fault
Faulty Oil Pressure sensor
Oil Pressure Sensor harness is open or shorted
Oil Pressure Sensor circuit poor electrical connection

consider cleaning the ivtec selonoid.

the oil and oil place most likely didn't cause an issue but revealed an issue..
also.....you should be doing the oil changes. its cheaper and your "gf" wont get shafted
