Default CKP/TDC Sensor Troubleshooting

Back to working on a no spark/no start condition following a timing belt change and we have run through the spark/coil/igniter checks to identify why no spark occurring.

The sensor resistances test fine from the connector behind the power steering pump. We did not move or do anything with this sensor during the TB replacement, but I suspect it is not sending a signal.

How do I verify that this sensor is sending a signal to the ECU? Does this sensor send a signal to the tach, such that it would register some RPM while trying to start?

If the crankshaft timing belt gear is in the right position, how would the sensor fail to get a signal?

Thanks for any help.

The only thing that I could think of is that you already verified all other ignition components are ok, the only thing you need to do is use a lab scope and see if the cam sensor is getting a signal from the pcm/ecm to fire the ignition. You will need a scope, a amp probe and a little experience on how to read the data display for the diagnosis you are trying to repair.
