Default AMR still worth buying from?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on my suspension. Have been looking at PIC.Progress and AMR.

For a couple Hundred more I get lifetime warranty on Springs and Dampers. Vs 1 year with others. Some stories years ago about blown Dampers and plain getting ripped off. I see Andy is Banned from H-T,so Honest opinion.

I have his front UCA and rear camber links. The rear links were completely destroyed after two days on track (no street use). I inquired and he said "I don't sell those any more but I might have some replacement parts." Made me glad I went with a different setup for my shocks.

Wow I'm glad I came upon this thread. I was just about to inquire about AMR myself to see how things were performing.

Yea. Just not going to take a chance on them. Seem like a great product, but is it worth the potential hassle.

It seems like the popular opinion (including mine) is that the AMR product is great.

Dude sells custom built monotubes with a lifetime warranty for RIDICULOUS cheap. Like $1500-2K.

I don't know how they ride...so I can't comment on that. But on paper, that's a pretty good equation.

Unfortunately (without being too critical/unfair), the problem is that you never know what type of mood the owner and sole point of contact (Andy) will be in that day.

The PIC guys are consistently great in terms of service and response, on the other hand. The product seems to be pretty good as well. I know the guys personally...but others have the same reaction regarding their customer service.

Does anyone know why Andy was banned?

I *think* it was more due to violation of Honda Tech policy than it was about his business.

But...I don't really know all these gossipy details.

Who cares, though? If you're interested in his product, call him up and talk to him. Maybe he can address your concerns.
