93 del sol si auto to b18c1 manual
So i was thinking to myself
"Self, why would i spend a grand on a kit when that money could go to making your already amazing car actually go fast?"
however i have always thought it would be a waste of time to make my car "fast" because it was an auto.
any thoughts on how simple it would be to pull this swap off, (auto to manual) or if it would be better to get an auto b18c1 and go from there.
thanks...

might be a grand or little more. 1500 maybe at a good shop? I think it will be a pretty simple process.

I think that an auto B18C1 is vaporware (it doesn't exist) unless there was one in JDMland.
You can for sure swap out to a manual transmission and a B series upgrade. However, it may be more simple to find another car with manual transmission already and go from there.
If you do the auto to manual swap in the current car, you will have to use a different ecu, unless you can get the auto chipped off.......I am pretty sure places like Hondata.com can do that for you, but you'd have to ask.
Remember you'd also need to acquire some interior pieces for the car, such as the console and possibly the gauge cluster (since yours has the PRND21 on it).

YEs in japan land there were b18c autos and b16a2 autos as well. Actually there were integras that came with automatic transmissions and LSD. Everyone who says that auto gsr swaps are
I just dont see. It can be possible to do one of these swaps, and be really happy. To the normal driver/commuter who doesnt want a 5-speed, who will probabally keep their motor basically stock, who wants a smooth cruiser with power on tapp, this swap is
.
I think the original poster should go for it, there are places that sell the complete auto swaps for cheap because everyone puts nasty tastes in peoples mouthes. Not everyone wants to drive a 5-speed, most people want bragging rights anyway.
Yeah yeah, bring it on, I know Honda trannys suck, BUT honda has Never made a auto tranny that couldnt withstand the amount of power and torque from the stock motor that it is bolted to. So, if they bolted a auto tranny to a b18c1, and added LSD, then they knew the potential of this motor and wouldnt use a bullshit integra LS tranny. NOw, you spray, or turbo that *****, and then you will be switching to a manual.

Right, but I was keeping things simple with USDM availability. To be on the safe side, remember you can't legally install a JDM engine in a USDM car. You may get away with it, but it does depend on where you are.
