How are the B16b & B16a2 crankshaft different?

Default How are the B16b & B16a2 crankshaft different?

Asking for a friend .......................

Is the crank from a B16b EK9 engine the same as that found in the b16a2? Or are there differences?

They are different entirely

Same size and lift, but B16B has added counterweights that are supposed to make higher revs smoother. The crank actually weighs ~3lb (?) more than the B16a.
