I bought a Ractive CAI or so it's called (Not a true cold air intake). I really like the yellow silicone tubing for the valve cover breather but if you have the stock metal tubes that are welded together you will need to replace the coolant line from the head to the throttle body or it will look like total crap. I think the 3" brushed aluminum intake tube is very good quality and looks nice too. the only thing I am not very happy with is the Ractive cone filter that came with the whole kit, It seems to have a more pronounced whistle at a certain RPM than other brands. One other problem that I have run into is that I could not find anyone that even makes an intake for a 1990 Civic Si so I had to purchase one for a CRX and that involved moving the battery a bit more toward the front so the positive battery terminal would not hit the aluminum intake tube. I'm not sure if anyone has had the same problem as me, But hopefully my info will be of some help.
i had a ractive intake in my accord and it was good. The only thing was that the filter was kinda small so i used my larger K&N that made a good combo.
Ractive is the way to go if u dont want to spend youre paychek on an AEM.

Sorry about taking so long to reply, But I went over my post limit. The two metal tubes that are welded together must have a purpose of mounting, But I'm not quite sure. 1 rubber tube goes from the valve cover breather to the metal tube to another sort of rubber adapter that plugs into the stock intake tube, This is replaced by the silicone tubing that is supplied in the intake kit. Now you are left with a useless metal tube that is still attached to the coolant line that goes from the head to the throttle body. You could leave it there but it will look bad so just disconnect the coolant line and replace it with a new rubber hose. Hope this helps!
hey if you want a good coldair intake and its like 130 i would go with injen they are really good and the tubing it stong i know it cause i have it on my teg and my bro in law has it on his and i have it on my ef
AEM is not like the rest. AEM CAI's have a coating of something, cant remember what it is, but go check the site if you want to find out. The coating is what makes it better than the rest. Get an AEM CAI, get it done right the first time.
