What size bolt attaches A/C lines to the firewall ? 2003 accord
Hey everyone.
I am new here and I tried looking through multiple threads for the answer first but I didn't come across it.
I have a fairly large leak in my A/C system and I used the UV detection method and did NOT see a single leak on the actual engine bay so I took it upon myself to remove the blower motor and evaporator core. I am only on a 50/50 chance I found the leak once I removed the evaporator i noticed some of the UV stuff at the connection at the firewall (between the a/c lines and the expansion valve I noticed one of the O-rings was missing completely and I'm hoping it didn't just fall off while taking the cover off but I DID replace the oring).
here is where everything went down HILL.
I started putting everything back together and I started tightening the bolt at the firewall that connects the A/C lines to the expansion valve within the car.
I then added some Freon and next thing I saw was a big boom lol. The bolt snapped in two.
I either over tightened it or....well idk. .lol
so now I need to find a bolt that can replace the one that snapped (I already have removed it thankfully)
I went to lowes to look around and didn't see anything and I'm losing hope.
Does ANYONE know the correct size of that bolt ?

What was the bolt’s thread pitch you purchased? Was it 1.0?
The rear license plate bolt should be M6 x 1.0, see if that screws into the hole.

I know it's too long but I wanted to at least see if it would fit. Figured I could dremel 2mm off the length haha
I decided to remove the splash guard from the bottom of the engine bay and while looking at the compressor system I noticed that the actual clutch pulley thingy has A LOT of play. I can slide it from side to side and left to right (not the actually pulley but the magnetic plate thing). Is that normal ?
