Help headlights stopped working and lost all power to fuse box
High guys and gals I was driving my crx b16a swap last night and the headlights all of a sudden just shut off I tried the switching to brights but still nothing so when I finally made it home after a long slow drive home I checked the fuses they where good same with the bulbs so I started with the holy checker and found I lost power to only the headlight fuses any help will be appreciated
Re: Help headlights stopped working and lost all power to fuse box
Check under-hood Fuse No. 33 (50A). If that is okay and there is power coming through that fuse, then it may be due to the combination light switch or wiring.
Re: Help headlights stopped working and lost all power to fuse box
At the headlight switch, check to see if power is coming in at terminal no. 6 (White wire) at Connector C414. That is the wire from under-hood fuse no. 33.
If there is power there, then check for voltage at terminal no. 4 (Red/Yel) wire when the low beam switch is turned on. You'll have to backprobe to measure voltage here.
Backprobing is either using a backprobe set or using a thin needle or something and making contact with the metal terminal of the connector without piercing the wire in the back of the still connected connector. Care must be taken to ensure that the wiring does not get damaged. You can use something like a T pin, available at Walmart, etc., and backprobe. These pictures are just to give a picture of the concept of backprobing without piercing any wires.
