I love my 88 CRX with a OBD0 ZC DOHC motor. A perfect combination if there ever was one.
I'm the type of guy who likes to be prepared for the unexpected. This explains my rather large collection of new used Honda parts. I have been on a mission to find a cylinder position sensor. On a ZC motor it is mounted beside the distributor on the second cam.
Does anyone have a part number for this? And, more importantly, does anyone know where to find one (new or used). Waiting for it to be an emergency doesn't sound wise to me at all.
.
the 88-89 (not 86-87) Integra uses the same Cylinder Sensor - Part No. 37841-PG7-006, but new ones are probably discontinued - find one in the junk yard - having a bad one would be extremely rare
NOTE: wire colors on the Integra sensor are different from the factory ZC sensor:
ZC BLUE with GREEN stripe is ORANGE on the Integra sensor, and ZC BLUE with YELLOW stripe is WHITE on the Integra sensor
I originally wanted the whole unit (housing and sensor. I found new sensor and am using original housing. I am saving this info in case my needs change.
Thanks
