Side door body trim
Hey there, after an accident I'm needing to replace my 2013 Civic LX door. So I bought a door from the wreckers, off of a 2015 Civic LX in the same colour as the rest of my door. But little did I pay attention, this new door has those body trim moldings across about half way down the door. To prevent dings to the door. The rest of my car doesn't have them. I assume they were factory done, but I can't find out for sure. Do any of you know about these body trim pieces and how easily removal is? I've seen that I can buy them from Honda, and it's applied by just double sided tape, but I didn't know if after market is done differently than factory done. The body shops I have contacted for an estimate have been no help as they have just assumed it's attached by clips. I hope someone here can help me, and calm me down after this major purchase that didn't go as well as I had hoped. 😅 Thanks in advance guys, I appreciate it.
according to Honda 2013 and 2015 doors were different.
howbeit they fit but they are dif part # and pics with Honda.
IF they are applied like the older civics. they do pop of ...however they have them devilish plastic push things. and you will have spaced holes exposed.
OR they peel off because of adhesive is applied. its one of the 2 applications....if it was me....pop it off and see.

The door panel/skin for a 2013 vs 2015 LX are the same part numbers.
From the photo, that appears to be the Honda accessory side moldings, which is mounted with double-sided adhesive tape. They are an add on accessory which the dealer would do. They are not factory installed.
Removal is with careful use of a heat gun and gently prying and pulling. Non-marring tools must be used.
