Nice forum, seems to have more traffic than some other Honda resources.
I'm new here and do not want technical advise on this post, but looking to meet the forum, see how knowledge is, and was wondering what section to post in for best response, I understand that there are model year based sections, as well as engine, swap, suspension sections, etc...
I acquired (below) a stock 91 Civic Si hatchback (D16A6, PM3) original engine with intermittent running, compression/electrical issues, also needs a bit of other work. Also have another engine (D16A, P2j-3 96) of unknown history that may have a 96-97 VTEC-E head and/or may be JDM.

I've had a lot of trouble finding information on the second engine especially the head, and am looking to build up the car possibly using the above engines as a base.
Is this the correct site to be at or does anyone recommend other resources? Where is it best to post discussing a rebuild/overhaul, or whole car refurbish? Would I be better in 88-91 areas for the chassis, or later years when I figure out what head/engine I have?


I'm an aircraft Mechanic, have done a few auto-manual transmission swaps, and look forward to learning and contributing where I can to the information here!
