i saw this on ebay and was intrigued:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1872276817
anyone hear of any other companys importing CTR's? i was just curious how rare left hand drive versions will be, since i had no idea any would be released...

It probably is already RHD and wasn't converted (remember Japan isn't the only place these come from). The only thing interior-wise they may have changed is the cluster.

from the ebay description "All vehicles are left hand drive and in miles per hour"

they left out whether or not it will be legal for street use, and a lot of th eCTR features... is it truly a CTR or have they "made" one with parts bolted onto a Civic Si? Sounds like buyer beware... but I would want a CTR in an instant! A gutted for low weight, race version, with jumbo Brembos up front and one Recaro is my dreamcar.

these seem to be the Euro CTR's...only Europe got the 30th edition since they get jipped on the Recaros

Yeah, the guys selling this on eBay are importers that rechip or add an aftermarket ECU, to pass US emissions. They also do Lancers EVO's.

Also doesn't give me much confidence that there are no photos of the acutal car – those look like company photos.

the company selling the CTR's on ebay import them... you will never be able to just walk up to a dealership and buy a CTR... they import them and convert them to pass US emission laws... they do the same with the Lancer EVO VII's they have been doing it for a long time..
