Default Starting issues

I have an 89 Crx it’s a dx body with an si motor in it. The problem I’m having is it seems like when. It gets hot like after driving on freeway. I shut it off then it doesn’t want to crank over have taken it to a couple different mechanics and they haven’t been able to tell me crap. Can anyone help or have had same problem thanx

To confirm do you mean it cranks but won't fire or flat out doesn't crank at all?

Seems to be a common problem on the crx. Curious, is your clutch safety switch bypassed, or do you have any other altered wiring in the starter circuit?

There was yes but I just replaced starter switch and eliminated all that crap. So we'll see what happens so far it starts. Going for a test drive right now. Will let you know what happens lol

The way I have it now is a wire straight from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid, and I still had the issue when the starter got hot. I believe it was due to it requiring more amps when hot, and using too small a wire.

I changed the wite to 12ga and so far it’s been great even when completely heat soaked
