i bought an 89 civic hatch back dx.
was driving down the interstate and the car lost power like it didnt want to accelerate at all. when i start going it starts to sputter.
i switched out the spark plugs and distibutor cap and rotor. but it still has the same problem but now if i idle for too long the car shuts off.
i know its not alot to go off.

 

Any CEL's? Temp remain normal?

 

yea check engine light comes on and temp stays normal

 

What do the codes, that you've certainly already checked, say is broken
