New found lover of CRX

Recently bought a 1991 CRX DX. This poor car has been abused like no ones business. It's gutted and frankenstiened. I am the 12th owner that registered it and as I post it I find more and more states this car has been to and not registered in. either way I am planning a B18 swap with a turbo setup. Figured might as well so that I know what's on it. I'm new to this though as I usually work on carbed motors in Camaros. Some advise from someone that has done a B18 swap in a CRX would be awesome. I will have to wire for MPFI which I printed the information for that but I am trying to find a decent swap parts list and also trying to decide what trans to use. This car is gonna be a fun DD making somewhere around 250-350HP. I want the trans to handle a hell of a lot more than just that in case I get a wild hair and increase the power. anyway any help or advise is appreciated

Hello and welcome

Glad you found a crx to save! And you are right, it is best to go over the entire car since it has been hacked up and modified before. Not just to make it yours, but because people cut corners and do things that are unsafe.

I’ve found lots of things that were done to mine that could have resulted in accidents, fires, etc. Go over everything with a fine-toothed comb!

Lots of info around for doing B18 swaps. I just posted links to write ups on the engine install and trans selection not long ago, but I’m too lazy to find them again now. Maybe later
