Default Dual Zone Auto Temp Control Issue

I have a 2006 Honda Accord EXL, 138K miles. Noticed this week that with Auto climate control selected, hot outside, cool temp selected (say 69-72 degrees), I get cold, conditioned air out of two passenger vents but unconditioned, ambient (warmer) air out of two driver side vents. Even if I put temp select on max cold, I never get cold air to come out of driver side vents. With very hot temperature selected (say 80+ degrees) I get hot air out of both sides. If I split zones using both Passenger **** (Dual light illuminated) I get the same results. I can only get nice, cold, conditioned air out of two passenger vents. For information, the fan speed operates normally and increases speed/outflow as it always did when increasing or decreasing the selected temperature towards the extremes, and it adjusts back down as actual temperature approaches selected temperature. I've read strings about refrigerant needing to be re-charged and about having to replace the temperature motor assemblies on both passenger and drivers side (I believe the part #'s are 79170-SDA- A41 and 79160-SDA-A41 respectively). Does anyone know what the true problem is? I think I can do it all but before I start I want to make sure it is not some other obscure thing like a resistor, temp sensor, fuse, etc. Thanks.

Default Re: Dual Zone Auto Temp Control Issue

The charge is the most important factor.

Needs to be extracted, weighed and recharged before doing any thing else.
