Default Steering wheel spacer on stock Honda wheel?

I'm frustrated with how close the steering wheel sits to my thighs when driving and let me say that i'm a novice when it comes to cars! I've read that you can install steering wheel spacers or hubs (not sure if they are the same thing) but every reference I see to these it's in combination with a custom steering wheel. I'd like to keep my Honda wheel for now at least and so wondered is it possible to install a spacer using the factory Honda wheel? If so what is it i need to look for to make sure it will be compatible and fit etc? Thanks.

no you cant on the stock wheel
what you can do it look for the tilt colume that comes on our cars
so you cant tilt your wheel higher up but thats about it

im guessing you dont have a tilt wheel colume?
and if you do and its still a problem
first of all ...damn!!!
haha
you can also look into lowering your seat

Yeah, I don't have a tilt column and so was told to look at a spacer so I guess that means a custom steering wheel too if I want to go that route? When you say lower the seats, how easy is that and how do you do that, I'm interested?

you would need to know how to cut drill and measure the seat rails
if you know how to weld or know someone who can weld it would be better

your drop would only be about 1 1/2 inches
and your seat wouldnt be able to adjust forward or backwards anymore
but your problem would be fixed
i did this on my old crx back in the day with prelude seats
