Default Hi, I'm new to this but I need some help 98' Honda Accord lx auto, vtech 4cyl.

Hi, I have a 4 door Accord lx 4cyl. Auto trans. The car has a decent bit of mileage but has been extremely well taken care of. Taken the whole thing apart on several occasions for a few major jobs, a few small.

The thing is, it runs and idles just fine and taking off it can spin tires (which I think is saying something for a super old stock Honda) but when it goes up hill it has to downshift like twice before you can get any power out of it and it shoots the rpm way up. I was just wondering if there's anyway I can fix the issue or if it's just too weak and small. I'm just not sure honestly. Help me out guys. It's a daily for my girlfriend. She just wants the car to go appropriately when she hits the gas. Any ideas to improve?
