Car Theft Help?? 91 Teg
Hey guys I just bought my first car a 91 Integra. The only problem I have is that I live in Modesto CA wich you may know as being notorious for car theft. So my question to you guys is what I can do to prevent my car from being stolen without spending a fortune on a quick release hub and lock or something like that? I heard some people will pull a fuse that makes the car run such as a fuse to the alternator and get a spare which they blow and switch out when they are not driving so the car appears to be fine but just has a bad fuse. I have also heard of taking parts like the fuel relay off. I am looking for easy things like this that I can do to prevent theft without spending more money. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jack.
Nothing much you can do but get a good alarm installed with a kill switch wired and have the switch hidden like I have on both my cars. if you have a stock steering wheel get a club for the wheel.
Don't have a stock wheel and I assume I'm doing the same thing as a kill switch by switching fuses that start the car with burnt out ones as a decoy. My car won't start without the fuel relay and fuses which I take out every night but I am trying to be as high security as possible. The valley is known for car theft as I'm sure many of you understand.

I bought the car with $800 rims on coilovers and a NRG wheel so not standing out isn't much of a option unless I want to spend more to make the car look not as good.
Park it in a locked garage if you can.
Get an alarm that pages you, get it installed correctly.
Backup battery for the brain.
Battery powered siren inside of something that you can't get into.
Remove your ECU.
Chain your axle to a lamp post.
They will come with a flat bed if your car is worth it. So, a GPS tracker that pages you when the car moves.
Move to the ghetto. No one goes there to steal stuff. I had my car broken into at least 20 times in nice neighborhoods. Now that I live in a shitty neighborhood, no one has touched my cars and I can leave my cars unlocked. I left a used up gift card in my unlocked truck and it's still there 4 years later.
Sleep in your car, locked and loaded.
No matter what you do, some **** will steal your **** if they want it bad enough.

And the #1 thing you can do to deal with this? Full coverage insurance, with theft.
