Catalytic Convertor for 02 Honda Accord 2.3 ULEV California
My Catalytic Convertor sounds like it's breaking apart/rattling internally when I hit it with my hand or lug it in 1st gear so I guess I need to replace it - motor is the VTEC 2.3L 4cyl ULEV. Honda wants around $1000 whereas RockAuto has a C.A.R.B. Compliant Walker brand for about $225. Would the much less expensive Walker be fine or is OEM Honda $800 better?
The Walker will be fine but the Honda one would be better, im sure. However, its an 02 so id go with whatever is cheapest. Just make sure that it is a direct fit and not a universal where youll need to weld it in.
Thanks - I pulled the numbers off the sticker underneath my hood and matched up the correct Walker @ Rock. With a couple of Gaskets, it came to $236 shipped so I'll spend what I saved not buying OEM on fuel!
