Anyone swapped a CL-S to V6 Accord?
Hey! I have just acquired another 2000 Accord V6 coupe in pretty good shape with 208000kms (130000 miles) and I wondered if anyone has ever swapped the engine/tranny from a 2001 Acura CL-S to a 2000 V6 Accord coupe.
I've owned the Acura TL-S and would love that power in my Accord with plans to supercharge one day. I would love any info/links etc. that details whether it is possible and what is needed. I have a full donor car I can get.
Thank in advance!

It's been done but usually with a 6 speed swap out of an 03 CL-S. The CL-S auto transmissions are just as bad, if not worse, than the Accord V6 transmissions.
Thanks, but would rather just swap auto for auto. I don't drive hard and would rebuild the tranny before I installed. Just wondered if it would be straight swap e.g. is the wiring harness the same as the Accord?
You would want to use the harness out of your own vehicle and modify it slightly if needed. For the auto trans, the CL-S is tiptronic and the Accord V6 trans is just a plain old 4 speed auto IIRC. Not sure what would be involved trying to change that over. There is probably some info out there that will help you but you'll have to search for it. This isn't a very common swap.

I believe the engines are externally the same so it should be a fairly straightforward swap. Ideally you would want to swap over the J32 ECU but you may be able to get away with something that increases fuel by around 6-7% to offset the displacement difference. An adjustable fuel pressure regulator might work.

I have also thought about the possibility of adding a turbo - are there any good threads/info for this that detail what is needed and how to go about it?
