Okay so yeah, I'm starting another build from scratch. The plan is to have it ready for the Smokey Mountain Crawl 2018 in June.
I have pretty much everything except the engine and front brakes but its not a problem at this stage. Going for a 7-inch fatty this time
for better handling and using a Standard Functions engine mount because it has bushings to help with vibrations. Wheels will be polished
aluminum split five star, 12x4 front and 12x7 rear. Questions & Suggestions are welcomed.
Standard Functions 7 inch Fatty Mount________ FLP Frame Cover__________________________ Pegs that won't cut your legs.
Chrome Bars & NCY Stem___________________ LED Light Bar & NCY Lowered Forks___________ Nearly done.
***Parts Update***
Got some parts in the mail today, and mounted the front tire. Also got new pegs(I like these more), a shim kit, and 2 bmx stems. Not really feelin the NCY stem.
New Stuff________________________________ Headlight Lowering Bracket for Stock Lights____ I Really want to keep the twin lights
12x4 Front Wheel with 120-70-12 tire_________ Low Down Shock, NCY Grips & Throttle Tube, NCY Levers, and Stage 6 Control.
That's it for now...
Engine, headlights, wheels, hubs, front disc, Grom fender, gas tank under cowl, lowered seat frame, seat, seat cover, harness tidy plate, harness half tuck, battery box and handlebar controls installed.
Might use a Mojo Customs engine mount for a longer stretch, but I want to test the Standard Functions mount first before making a final decision.
Thinking about shaving the tail and using Koso Afterburner lights. Only donwside is the seat won't flip up because of clearance issues.
Next up is the front brake caliper and bleeding process...
Swapped the handlebars & NCY stem for a Rucksters Rpro set-up. Used the gps/navi plate to mount the speedo. Went with the Trail Tech Striker instead of the Vapor because of the battery volts display.
Installed a Kitaco fuel gauge to remind me to spend $3.00 on premium gas.
*UPDATE*
Ocean Mist battery box and gas tank cover.
Lowered Dorf style seat frame and new exhaust.
New BMX style stem.
Shaved rear end and R6 tail light with integrated turn signals.
