Why does my gas go by faster
I have a 1995 Acura integra B20 swapped non vtec cold air aem intake and got a upgraded fuel rail with stock fuel injectors and recently been noticing that my gas goes by pretty fast I do smash a lot , anybody knows an issue I have?
are you serious?
so you got a b20(more trq) worse mpg
bigger injectors. (usually if not tuned right) worse mpg
cold air intake (requires more fuel to burn the xtra air) worse mpg
smash a lot. worse mpg.
so you have worse mpg x4.
fill up on premium fuel and deal with it and enjoy it.
over the years premium doesn't really cost more. fill it with good gas and enjoy it that's why we build junk

He probably has stock injectors and an aftermarket FPR with the fuel pressure bumped up (To compensate for the added displacement of the B20), on stock mapping.
With this bandaid fix, you are basically adding fuel over the entire map, instead of the correct way (updated mapping), which only adds/subtracts fuel where needed.
If everything else on the car is functioning correctly, If he were to have correct mapping (Dyno Tuned), it may improve his mpg's...

could. but most ppl don't tune anything. name of the game though you upgrade, you downgrade at the sametime elsewhere
