2003 CRV Seat Belt Chime Activation
The seat belt chime no longer works on my 2003 CRV, so I have to try to remember to use the belt without its reminder.
That usually works but I got a $136 ticket last week and I am now motivated to get it fixed!
There are lots of people giving advice on how to deactivate the chime -- but nothing for my problem.
The seat belt works and the dashboard warning light for the seat belt works. Just no chime!
How do I reactivate the annoying chime that keeps me safe AND legal?

The beeper is built into the multiplex control unit (mcu), which is built into the under-dash fuse/relay box. It may be due to a faulty mcu.
Try spraying a little WD-40 in the driver's seat belt buckle. There are two switches in the driver's seat belt buckle and one may be sticking. See if by chance it makes a difference.
