the junkyard would be a better option to get bolts and hoses
and aslo cheap
you could probebly get everything you need for about 20 bucks maybe even less
Yeah my buddy actually bought both civics with d engines from the junkyard about a year ago and sold them.. only have some 80s integras with k series and a few accords with f motors
small town with 1 junkyard makes used parts hard to come by
there's some parts cars in surrounding towns but they're all 2-4hrs from me so figured I would see if I could buy online for the same as gas $ would be lol
motor mount bolts are your 14mm and 17mm
and the exhaust bolts are your 12mm
and you can take them off those integras with k series engines
and those accords and the junkyard
you can measure the length you need before you leave home or you can just grab a hand full of them
you can also get your hoses off those cars as well
no problem
the hoses your probebly going to have to bend a little or trim but you can also find them off those cars
remember there honda bolts and hoses
even the 2018 hondas are still useing the same stuff as the 1971 s were back in the day
now lets see some more pictures of that hatch your working on ^_^
Here's the engine bay as of lastnight, I will get some body pics when I get off work. It's pretty rough, but I got the car for $50 so I'm not complaining lol
So I just checked the door tag and turns out it's an 89 lol
but like I said, it's a genuine $50 rez rocket
not real pretty but lots of potential for being less than 500 into it total after getting the engine solid
fastener information including size, pitch and length are all in the shop manual. easy to find to download yourself. everyone should have a digital copy at least.
sometimes the same fastener information is available on the dealer parts description. easy to find online from multiple vendors.
that being said, you shouldnt use anything but an OEM bolt. every bolt on a honda is specified and designed for many other features than just the pitch and length, such as the size and type of head, should length, tip design etc.
theres no excuse, you can buy any fastener from the dealer. or find them readily still in the junkyard.
got all the bolts figured out
quick question about my starter/battery wiring
does my positive battery cable run to starter, and starter back up to the panel/box (that I believe is starter relay,ect..)
or does my positive battery cable run to the box, then from the box to the starter?
been searching all morning and can't find any pictures or clear cut answer. Thanks

better way to ask, does this ripped wire connect to battery, or starter?

When I tried getting new engine mount bolts thru the dealer, they told me they are no longer available and to use standard hardware, haha!!
I did not, but the bolts used on mine are OEM but appear to be for the wrong application and are too long, using stacked washers. I also have no junkyards near me with any Hondas, so if there is a source online for where to get new OEM bolts I'd be thrilled to hear it!
