back in the day when wanted to dispatch the steering lock we drilled out the goldish washer from the bottom of the ignition module and out popped a spring and a nub.
now when the key is out the steering wheel can freely move without locking up.

I have my 8th gen apart right now and would like to take care of it. anyone dismantle an 8th gen civic ignition setup yet?
I see a square and some other parts. don't want to break it in the wrong place though.
