Default Broken sensor wire

Help..changing my starter on a 2008 civic and ripped a wire off a sensor..too dark to take photo but it mid way up on the block. Under intake manifold..connected to a big size nut and has one red wire

How would go about fixing it..i came completely out with a little blue plug with it

Various options:
  • Order Honda part no. 30531-RCA-A01 knock sensor pigtail connector from dealer, less than $10. Cut and splice the wiring.
  • Salvage yard
  • etc.
Dealer usually can get in the next day.

Cant really cut and splice..wire came completely out of sensor..probably heading to junk yard

You would cut the new Honda pigtail wiring and splice into the old wire. Honda part no. 30531-RCA-A01 has rodent resistant tape wrapped around it and a connector to plug into the harness for a V6 Accord.

First photo show the pigtail with rodent proof tape already removed. Second photo is connector for V6 cut off (not used). Part is ready to splice into old wiring.

just received it today and not even close..it has a male prong and mine does not..connector way different

wasted $15..this connector plugs into mine..my connector on the knock sensor is fine..i need the one that plugs into sensor

take the metal plug insert out of the plug it self....resolder/crimp it back to the wire...push it back in the plug
