brake swap on '90 CRX Si
I've read the brake swap sticky, (which is awesome btw) but i just want to be sure I read it correctly. I have a '90 CRX Si i'm restoring to run in Global Time Attack, Nasa, etc.. Wanted to go with slightly larger brakes. I have '92 Integra gsr or 1999 Civic Si brakes to choose from. Would one be better than the other? I started to look for the '90 EX knuckle because everybody was saying that using the Integra one would alter the geometry slightly. But after looking over the brake swap post again, I read that "any 88-00 civic, 90-01 integra caliper and bracket would bolt-on. If thats true it would be great. Anybody have personal experience lmk. Thanks
i dont recommend anything but stock front brakes. changing knuckles to a DA front knuckle is not good for the track, too much camber gain.
you dont need any bigger brakes on the front. the CRX is not a heavy vehicle. theres plenty of heritage of successful CRX racers that have been very hard on brakes and its really not a problem with the right pads.

It will be lighter wheras the oem swap will be heavier.
this is true for the REAR caliper only.

That's what I was thinking, but the front rotors looks so tiny. lol. I have been running my turbo miata with stock calipers for years. I just run Carbotech pads, stainless lines and Super Blue or now Motul fluid. That's what i'll end up doing on the CRX too. Already have Stainless lines and all new calipers and rotors. I just need to order either Carbotech Pads or might try G-loc. I'll proabably be running around 250whp but i've got the weight down to 2000lbs so it'll probably be fine. Thanks
