Default Coolant Temp sender mating plug

I feel silly asking this but I can't find any info on this anywhere and I know I've seen this type of plug elsewhere.

My factory wire harness is old and the mating plug to this sensor is holding on by a few strands, unfortunately its right near the end of the connector so rather than fighting it by trying to peel back and looking for more exposed wire I would like to just find a new plug that mates with this sensor and properly solder and wire it to the factory harness. I just don't know what this type of mating plug is called and where to get one. Any help is appreciated.

you can add rtv to the area of your existing connector and let it dry and itll help strengthen it

Already done that, I would rather fix it properly. Any idea what this type of connector is called. I believe a similar style but bigger size is used on an oil sensor as well.

you can find it by searching "coolant temp unit connector" honestly it would be easier to take one from the junkyard, or look up this part #37750PH2014 with connector at the end, i had to change this when i broke both the plug and connector when swapping engines.

You don't think I did that before I made this post. Show me a link that has this mating plug.

It seems like just what I had expected that this is not a part you can buy.

Thanks anyway, if I have to make my own connector as a replacement I'll find a specialty connector and make my own.

You can use a female bullet-style connector, just make sure to measure it and get one the right size.

Might come off with vibration, I'm looking into spring loaded clamp connection. There is more than one way to do this. Factory connection would be best but clearly not available new.

Cheers

the factory connection is just a plastic box inside the black plastic, if you choose to take it apart and fix it ill be very curious to see the results, its not everyday you see these kinda 'rebuilds' if thats what this would even be called.

Just get something like this ^^ You crimp at after you slide it on so it's not going to come off and then you heat shrink the end. As long as you don't plan on taking it back off again regularly this'll work because it won't come off easily after crimped. You can't get the OEM connector new unless you buy an entire new engine harness but there's this ebay listing I came across - https://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-ACURA...-/141671532405

As long as you don't take it apart there is a few options for sure. Funny even the used one on eBay the shield near the end of the connector is gone too. I have an idea what I want to use that will allow you to reuse without much trouble.
