Brake Master Cylinder
Hi
I have a year 2001 6th generation ABS enabled, Accord Coupe 2.0 manual, and I'm struggling to source a brake master cylinder for it.
All the master cylinders I've seen online look different to mine, some appear to include the rod that protrudes out from the master cylinder/connects to the booster that is depressed when applying the brakes, and on others (such as mine), that rod isn't part of the master cylinder and appears to be part of the servo/booster. Also, the plastic reservoir on my master cylinder sits at an angle, whereas most I've seen have straight reservoirs, does the angle/position of how the reservoir sits on the top of the master cylinder make a difference?
As long as I purchase a master cylinder for a 1998 - 2002 ABS enabled Accord, will it be compatible with my vehicle?
Many thanks in advance.

Is the coupe RHD or LHD? This is where you are running into issues albeit.
Look at the VIN tag on your vehicle, not the registration/license plate, it should read '1HGCG####YAO######' '#' = a number. The 'CG#' is what will tell us what sub-model you have.
Does your car look like this? This is a V6 with 5 lug wheels, 4 cylinders had 4 lugs.

FWIW, I had to locate a new Clutch Master for our Japanese imported CB1('92 Accord) and I was constantly being sent from the continent LHD CMC which are completely different from the RHD units. Pain in the hole. Think I ended up having to order a CMC for a Rover 600 to get the proper RHD unit. But I am not sure if the US imported Coupe uses the same Brake MC as the Swindon build 4drs and liftbacks.

Is this what your BMC looks like?
